Chances Against LSU

This is one of the toughest matchups of the year for the Huskies this season, question is, with everything going on with the Huskies and their injuries, is there any chance UW can go down to Death Valley and pull out the HUGE upset? The Dawgs lose Callier and Jamora for the rest of the season, which is a huge blow. I think when the Huskies are playing their best offense, there are few teams that can stop them. Unfortunately, this might be one of those teams. On the other end, LSU has lost a few guys to injuries/suspensions, and that should help. They also did not play particularly well against North Texas, so between LSU and UW, I think first game performances are a wash. Will UW move to a spread em out type of passing attack without depth at running back, or does Bishop Sankey become this year's Chris Polk and balance out the passing game?

Lots of questions going into this Saturday, my question for you.......Can the Huskies pull off the upset and why or why not?

  1. There is no chance he Dawgs win this game for 3 reasons and I'm not even including that nobody wins night games in Death valley.
1 Coaching--While Sark has shown an ability to add excitement to the program and gotten us back to respectability, he is not in Les Miles' league. Sark is a good coach but not an elite/great coach.
    2. Defense--The Dawgs were flying around on Sat night for sure. They showed improvement. That being said, they have a long way to go to being able to shut down a quality opponent. LSU has 2 big backs and an experienced offensive line. I will be shocked if they run for less than 250 yds against us. Our linebackers are mediocre at best and we still don't have the interior lineman depth to compete with a physical SEC team.
    3. Special Teams--This goes hand in hand with coaching. Too many time over the past couple of years we would have momentum after scoring a TD only to give it up by a big return. Even with the Kickoffs being moved up 5 yds Sark can't find a guy to kick it in the endzone?! LSU returned a punt for a TD last week and had 1 called back b/c of a hold. Don James coached teams NEVER lost a game because of Special Teams and Sark's teams just don't have attention to detail needed to do the same.

Hopefully we can be competitive for a half and lose a respectable 31-21 type of game....I will be there to witness it and will blend in by wearing my purple and gold
